On February 26, 2025, a meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Vokhidzoda H.S., and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan, Walid bin Abdurrahman Al-Reshaidon.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the interaction of the countries' prosecutor's offices in the fight against international terrorism, extremism and radicalization, human trafficking, drug trafficking and other manifestations of transnational organized crime, and assessed the importance of uniting the parties and jointly combating these crimes.

The issue of intensifying bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Combating Terrorism, its financing, money laundering and related serious crimes, signed on August 27, 2022 between the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was also discussed.

At the same time, the issues of signing draft agreements between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on extradition, transfer of convicted persons and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases, which were prepared and agreed upon between the state bodies of the two countries, were discussed.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan Walid bin Abdurrahman Ar-Reshaidon, in turn, noted that bilateral cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered the best example of cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of the two countries, and that proposals from the authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan are always accepted.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
