The 5th Meeting of Attorneys/Prosecutors General of the ECO Member States was held on the 16th of May 2024 in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Aliyev Kamran Bayram oglu, Prosecutor General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Muhammad Muwahhidi-Azad, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Asylov Berik Nogaevich attended the meeting, First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultanov Ulukbek Tashbolotovich, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rashidin Nawaz Kasuri, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeals of the Republic of Turkey Bekir Shahin, Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan Nyyazlyev Allanazar Atayevich, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Yuldashev Nigmatilla Tulkinovich and Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Mr. Khusrav Noziri.

On May 15, 2024, the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of TürkiyeBekir Şahinpaid a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the working visit, an official meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan and the General Prosecutor Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of TürkiyeBekir Şahin, during which issues of preventing and combating crimes of an international nature, such as terrorism and extremism, human trafficking, illegal drug trafficking and other transnational criminal phenomena that pose a great danger to all humanity,transfer and extradition of prisoners, detention of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan who are wanted were considered.

On February 17, 2024, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod took a working visit to the State of Qatar.

During the working visit, an official meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Issa bin Saad al-Jufari al-Nuaimi, within which of strengthening bilateral cooperation on the practical implementation of international treaties on the extradition of criminals, on the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases and the return of convicts to further serve their sentences, which were signed in 2023.

On May 7, 2024, the Solicitor General II of Malaysia, Mrs. Dato Suzana binti Atan, paid a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the working visit, an official meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Solicitor General II of Malaysia Mrs. Dato' Suzana binti Atan, during which issues of preventing and combating crimes of an international nature, such as terrorism and extremism, human trafficking, illegal drug trafficking, cybercrime and other transnational criminal phenomena that pose a great danger to all humanity were considered.

On June 1^st 2021, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon approved the Strategy for Countering Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Plan for its implementation for 2021-2025 by Decree #187.
