The meeting of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary P. Szijjarto.

   On April 7, 2021, in Dushanbe, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General of Justice Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.

During the meeting, the Prosecutor General said that in 2016 the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon madea working visit to Hungary, during which a number of interstate legal documents were signed.

General Prosecutor Rakhmon Yu.A. stressed the need to expand cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Hungary in the prevention of transnational organized crimes such as terrorism, extremism, terrorist financing, drug and arms trafficking, human trafficking, etc. and called on the Hungarian side to cooperate in preventing transnational organized crime and extradition of especially dangerous criminals.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, thanked the Republic of Tajikistan for the fight against drug trafficking, noting that the Hungarian side is ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan to prevent transnational organized crime and extradition of criminals on the international wanted list.

During the meeting, the Prosecutor General, Colonel-General of Justice Rahmon Yu.A. and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjartosigned the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and Hungary on extradition and the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and Hungary on the transfer of sentencedpersons.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and goodwill.
