PRESS RELEASE on the working visit of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar (February 17 – 18, 2024)
On February 17, 2024, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod took a working visit to the State of Qatar.
During the working visit, an official meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Issa bin Saad al-Jufari al-Nuaimi, within which of strengthening bilateral cooperation on the practical implementation of international treaties on the extradition of criminals, on the provision of legal assistance in criminal cases and the return of convicts to further serve their sentences, which were signed in 2023.

On February 2nd, 2024, the General Prosecutor of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Saud Abdullah Almuajib, paid a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the working visit, an official meeting was held between the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod, and the General Prosecutor of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Saud Abdullah Almuajib, during which issues of countering international terrorism and extremism, human anddrug traffickingand other manifestations of transnational crime were discussed.
The working trip to the Republic of Tajikistan is continuing.

On October 22-23, 2023, the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Mr. Dr. Issa bin Saad Al-Jufari Al-Nuaimi, and his accompanying delegation visited the Republic of Tajikistan on a working visit.
On October 23, at the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod, and the Prosecutor General of the State of Qatar, Mr. Dr. Issa bin Saad al-Jufari al-Nuaimi.

Adoption of Strategy for Countering Extremism and Terrorism
On June 1st 2021, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon approved the Strategy for Countering Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Plan for its implementation for 2021-2025 by Decree #187.

On April 7, 2021, in Dushanbe, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General of Justice Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.
During the meeting, the Prosecutor General said that in 2016 the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon madea working visit to Hungary, during which a number of interstate legal documents were signed.
Meeting of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Director of Federal Bureau of Investigation
On November 6, 2018,the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Yusuf Rahmon metwith the Director of Federal Bureau of InvestigationChristopher Wray.
During the meeting issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Prosecutor General’s Office and FBI in the field of fighting against crime, especially organized crime, cross-border terrorism and extremism and the coordination of relevant treaty and legal acts were discussed.At the same time, the United States expressed its gratitude for cooperation in the process of investigation of the terrorist attack, which occurred on July 29, 2018 in Tajikistan.
From August 10th to 11th of 2017 the General Prosecutor of Tajikistan, General-Lieutenant Mr.Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzod as part of Governmental delegation participated at the 93rd session of the United Nation Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination which held in Geneva, Switzerland.
During that session the ninth, tens and elevens Periodic reports of the Republic of Tajikistan on the implementation of the International Convention on Elimination of Racial Discrimination by the Republic of Tajikistan was reviewed.
After reviewing of the Reports some recommendations were addressed to the Republic of Tajikistan, which consideration and implementation are planed.
